November Odyssey Content

Let me start off by saying how sorry I am for failing to come through on this blog’s anniversary last month, but it’s been a busy month and really a busy year, so I haven’t had time to deliver on posts like I should. Anyway, it’s all in the past now, and it’s time for some real business. November is a great month to listen to seasonal episodes; with all the holidays finally starting to roll around and with me not posting a November Episodes post, it’s about time I made a list of all the Odyssey content to listen to this month.

Sunday Morning Scramble

This is a solid episode and aligns with the “fall back” time change that happens every November. It also serves as a great reminder of what church is all about and has the best end scene in AIO history.

The Election Deception

The most corrupt time of year is finally here, and that, of course, is elections. With politicians hammering at each other, it’s nice to have a toned-down take on the season. This episode is also above average, as most episodes are.

The Price of Freedom

With so much controversy about the value of the United States, compared with the price people paid to birth it and defend its freedom, it hurts to see it denounced so easily. This episode reminds us that soldiers paid the price for the nation’s freedom and serves as a perfect Veterans’ Day episode.

East Winds, Raining, and The War Hero

Another great set of episodes to listen to this Veterans’ Day Weekend as we remember the sacrifice of people here, abroad, and no longer with us. I like to put these in the Joe Finneman double since they match up in format and character.

Other Veterans’ Day Episodes

Here are some other Veterans’ Day episodes to listen to for the remembrance day.

  • Rescue from Manatugo Point
  • Operation Digout
  • Memories of Jerry
  • Sergeant York

Thanksgiving Episodes

Thanksgiving week is only two weeks away, and there are a whole slew of classic and new episodes focused on this holiday. (Canadians need not apply) Here’s a list of Thanksgiving Episodes:

  • Thank You, God
  • B-TV Thanks
  • Thanksgiving at Home
  • A Thanksgiving Carol
  • A Thankstaking Story

Great episodes, especially the last two being Christmas spinoffs, a great creative choice. Anyway, let’s move on.

Stepping Stones

This special Truth Chronicles episode is available in the Club. Though I haven’t listened to it in a while, I know it’s a great one and still is related to the topic of thanksgiving and the early Puritans moving to America.

Problems in Plymouth

Moving on to non-audio content now. This is the first Imagination Station book I ever read, and this is the book I read in 2020 when I found the AIO Club ad on the back and got the free trial and, yeah, I think you know the story (<<if you don’t there’s a shameless plug). Anyway back to the matter at hand, this is an easy read (unless you’re under the age of eight, apparently), but it’s a cool adventure and has a tinge of suspense with the whole Hugh storyline going on.

Elsewhere in Odyssey

No doubt, the AIO Club will pump out another comic on the first Monday of November, which will likely be Thanksgiving-related. These are nice little side hustles outside of the audio timestream that also don’t have too much bearing on the plot of the show are actually pretty nice.

Anyways, here’s the final anyway. If I missed anything, don’t feel shy to leave it in the comments. I can edit these things too, So if I missed something, you can always tell me to add it too. So here’s my post, as usual I always hope to post more often, and have a great thanksgiving!
