ODYSSEY, USA- Mayor Spencer Hicks (or Margret Faye, still not exactly sure what year it is) recently announced that due to several newcomers mistaking the small town for the other fictional town of Mayberry, the city would be renamed to that anyway. This left many city members confused; however, outsiders said it was the perfect name for the town. We spoke with the mayor to get a say.
“We believe that this name change will be effective and grow on citizens in the future,” the mayor said in a press conference.
A person named Andy Griffith moved to the town nearly hours after the change. Rusty Gordon also returned to make another bestseller book mocking the town. He said he believed that people would think it was a different city and read it as well. In the real world, Focus on the Family decided to make a sitcom called “Adventures in Mayberry.”
In other news, in an interview with Apple’s Tim Cook, he stated that everyone in Mayberry should purchase Apple Watches, “you know, for when one of them falls.”
