Mayor Margaret Faye Announces New Mandate Of The Novabox For All Citizens Of Odyssey

ODYSSEY, USA – Today at a press conference, Mayor Margaret Faye announced a new law in Odyssey. All inhabitants of the town are now required to have a Novabox in their house that is used daily. If they do not abide by these measures, they must stay home to keep those who are using the Novabox safe.

At the conference, Faye stated that “this is a completely safe and effective treatment with no known side effects. The Novabox is a revolutionary device that can restore memory to elderly people with dementia as well as take failing students and get them on the honor roll. It has benefits for all who use it, and those who refuse it are dangerous to society.”

Prominent business owner John Whittaker has said that he and his employees will “not comply with this totalitarian new law.” Whittaker then went on to reference Acts 5:29, saying “I must obey God rather than humans.” He also went on to state that “Odyssians do not know the consequences of this Novabox. There are no long-term studies and this could be very dangerous.”

Whittaker also believes the Novabox was not developed ethically as he asserts that it was made using stolen technology. He has reportedly contacted one of his lawyer friends and is preparing a case against the town of Odyssey and the company behind the Novabox. Novacom, who developed the Novabox, has had the price of their stock rise 3000% since the implementation of this new law in Odyssey.

I wouldn’t have thought that Whit would break the law here, because there’s nothing in the Bible about not having Novaboxes in your house. But I guess he’s broken the law other times in the show, so it’s definitely not unbelievable.
