News Flash: Whoops!

[Just a little side note, I actually did intend to release this post this the same day the news was released, however I’ve been going non-stop for the past few days and couldn’t fit it into my slew of projects and practices. Anyway, I’m not to late am I?]

Yeah…so The Lost One was too important to ignore, according to the writers, so rather than the initially planned release, the episode will now debut…in two weeks?! What?! And now, a rant.

Why?! Listen, I’m all for the sooner episode, whoop whoop. But the fact that we don’t even get a replacement. The only new content well have in December will be Buck and Jules’s little mystery. This is important, but maybe a little heads up. This is going to be good. This better be good. Because if I have to ditch a third of an album ahead of time, I’m telling you, the end will never be heard. One-shot. We gave you one shot with Revelations! This is your chance to redeem yourself. If you mess this up, you will rue the day. Rue the day! I’m warning you, if this episode is subpar, I will give it a 1% rating.

Whew, now to think pooooositively! Olivia’s arc has been the best we’ve had in a long time. It wasn’t a fake-out or some secret message in a bunch of random episodes. It also did something we haven’t had since The Ties that Bind, fit the core of an arc in one year, and in this case, one album! It shouldn’t be that big of a deal, but with six-episode albums being the trend, it is. (One of) The problems with the Rydell Arc is simply that it is so long that it accomplishes nothing. This new arc has around the same episode count Rydell did at Revelations, and yet we have something not just realistic here, but engaging. I believe that this announcement, unlike my annoyed rant suggests, is a very promising episode. So for the first time since last year, I’m prepared for a solid closing episode, and expecting one at that.

Some final thoughts, I do not think Olivia will “regain” her faith in this episode. If the damage was as extensive as Album 71 seemed to portray, then there’s no recovering from this. However, if she was simply asking questions as she claimed, then the outcome may not be that bad. Whatever the conclusion is, I’m very much looking forward to an episode that doesn’t have anything to do with a Rydell. And finally, this is hands-down the best post-2010 saga, exceeding GRC and The Ties that Bind by far. Anyway,

I honestly can’t wait for what’s ahead. An on behalf of AIO, stay tuned!
