McKay child makes headlines after offering “Juice and Milk” instead of Lemonade

Last week (or sometime after 2003, we’re not really sure), Grady McKay made it on the front page of the Odyssey Times when he broke a tradition held since 1987. When one Eugene Meltsner arrived at his door, he was offered juice or milk instead of water, tea, or most importantly, lemonade. Since Mayor Faye was about to state lemonade as the city drink, this came as a shock to all citizens.

“Well, we never had lemonade, apart from at Whit’s End or other people’s houses”, stated Mrs. McKay. “We usually only offer water”. She appeared as the thinking emoji when making this comment. Or maybe she always looked that way.

We were unable to receive a comment from anyone else, as other McKay household members were unavailable. The mayor stated that her proposition to make lemonade the city drink would be put on hold. In other news, the construction of Wooten’s treehouse is well underway, however we do not know if it ever ends, or if it burns in a fire. Also, a leaf fell on the mayor’s car, which Dale Jacobs stated will also be on the front page next week, or something like that. This is Don Treply, reporting.
